The 400G QSFP-DD FR4 uses a standard duplex LC interface that reuses existing SMF — no MPO breakout harness needed — saving cabling and deployment cost. It reuses the 100G CWDM4 wavelength grid (1271/1291/1311/1331nm) for backward compatibility with 100G ports, enabling a zero-friction 100G-to-400G migration at 8-12W.
