The 400G QSFP-DD DR4 uses an MPO-12 interface with a 4-lane parallel SMF (PSM4) architecture to deliver 400G throughput in a compact faceplate. Built on advanced silicon photonics or 7nm DSP at under 10.5W, it supports 1-to-4 breakout — splitting one 400G port into four 100G links to protect existing network investment.
